Colorblind

So here’s another combo update. Two new views from the house. I didn’t do much though. Just a little material and light tweaking.

And the Zinnia has started to bloom. I’m guessing it’s a kind of blue-ish color (I’m color blind). Also, it started another two branches from under this bloom, (you can see in the bottom left a part of one) and each of those has another miniature bloom bud coming out. So within a week there should be … Read the rest

C-c-c-c-c-c-combo update!

I’ve noticed each flower has a bud-like part growing out now. Seems alright for the Zinnia considering they only take around 2 months to grow, and it’s been 2 months. Sunflowers take anywhere from 3-4 months, so we’re closing in on that also. My only concern is that the plants are so short. I’m wondering if keeping the light so close to them has stunted their growth because they don’t feel the need to get closer to the light for … Read the rest

My life is

Pretty much perfect right now.

Except for how much I’m working and the stuff I have to do for school.

So this will be short.

Here’s some pictures. All are doing well except one. The first set of leaves drooped off into the dirt and got all yellowed and little dots on it so I took them off so it didn’t spread. All of them are getting close to having their leaves drooping into the dirt so I raised the … Read the rest

Snow

It’s snowing in Power Springs, Georgia.

That doesn’t happen often, and there’s a LOT of it. Little flake grouplings almost the size of golfballs. It’s supposed to get colder and snow more, so if it’s drastically different tonight, I’ll post more.

This is a video/picture update. I’ve got a small video of the snow and the plants: (sorry for some of the shakiness in the beginning, I was cold)

Text update only today.

It’s amazing that in just three weeks all these plants have grown from just a little sprout to these leafed beasts. Plants are incredible things. They store all the nutriets they need until awaken and then grow and grow and grow. It’s amazing. Just a little sunlight, water, and CO2 can do that. I wonder what the life of a plant would be like. It’s kinda depressing. Sprout. Follow the sun. Wave around in the wind. … Read the rest

Poor little

Roses =/ They went off and killed themselves.

Not really. They died from “damping off disease.” They actually prefer hot dry locations. But they need water to start up and get growing.

Well the day before yesterday I looked at them and they were all straight up in the air. Really thin plants, like the size of a piece of hair.

I sprayed them with a little water and the next day they’re all dead.

So this time I’ve combined … Read the rest

Organized

So I cleaned and organized my room to make space for all of this stuff.

All the newest pots are by the window, and once they sprout out of the dirt I’ve got a CFL attatched to my desk by the window that I’ll use to supplement the light.

The three pots that are the same size are all Zinnias, and the three different shaped pots closer to the window are all Moss Roses.… Read the rest

Today was

Great.

Almost every single seed I used to germinate the Moss Roses and Zinnia’s have sprouted by now. I’m amazed at how quickly that happens for them. They’re just sleeping and I give them a little prod and they wake up.

I’ve got all my pots organized and some soil in them (both pots and soil from my incredible hunnishnuckumbunch) and the seeds are sown.

Hopefully. The dirt didn’t like the water too much and a huge water bubble formed. … Read the rest
