Sale

Okay a few things.

1) Talking to my partner on this project today and he noticed he had sold one of his models on a modeling site. So I looked at my account and I had also sold one of mine! Intense, I know. But yeah. As cool as that feels, it could be better. The models are cheap so we don’t make that much money, but still.

2) Here’s an update on the house. This will make it obvious … Read the rest

My life is

Pretty much perfect right now.

Except for how much I’m working and the stuff I have to do for school.

So this will be short.

Here’s some pictures. All are doing well except one. The first set of leaves drooped off into the dirt and got all yellowed and little dots on it so I took them off so it didn’t spread. All of them are getting close to having their leaves drooping into the dirt so I raised the … Read the rest

Layout

I played around a little bit to try and organize the site better.

Now at the top there’ll be links to the latest VFX and Gardening updates just in case the front page gets crowded with useless stuff I ramble on about.

I’m still playing with ways to make each of the posts stick out and not form a huge cohesive blob of text. I don’t think the little black bars do it though.… Read the rest

Mini Update

I’ll keep this short and simple:

I don’t think my Moss Roses were dying from damping off. I forgot I had some left in their germination chamber and I looked at them today and there were almost twenty sprouts, all almost an inch high, holding up the top layer paper towel.

If they grew and survived in there, as humid and wet as that is, I doubt a little water killed them.

So I think they dried out.

I’m experimenting … Read the rest

Text update only today.

It’s amazing that in just three weeks all these plants have grown from just a little sprout to these leafed beasts. Plants are incredible things. They store all the nutriets they need until awaken and then grow and grow and grow. It’s amazing. Just a little sunlight, water, and CO2 can do that. I wonder what the life of a plant would be like. It’s kinda depressing. Sprout. Follow the sun. Wave around in the wind. … Read the rest

Today was

Great.

Almost every single seed I used to germinate the Moss Roses and Zinnia’s have sprouted by now. I’m amazed at how quickly that happens for them. They’re just sleeping and I give them a little prod and they wake up.

I’ve got all my pots organized and some soil in them (both pots and soil from my incredible hunnishnuckumbunch) and the seeds are sown.

Hopefully. The dirt didn’t like the water too much and a huge water bubble formed. … Read the rest

Double Trouble

So another plant update. Each sunflower almost looks identical now, with the exception that one is fat and one is tall and one is well, more normal.

But each of them are growing their second pair of leaves. Kinda hard to tell in these because the water accumulated on them but they are awfully noticeable. The zinnia hasn’t changed much. A tiny stem is poking out from in between the leaves, so.

I lined the inside of the container with … Read the rest

Hey Paul

So I’ve decided to grow some Sunflowers inside cause it’s too cold outside, it will be too cold for a long time, and I want something to do. Watching plants grow seems fun.

I’ve narrowed it down to two species of them. One less than two feet tall (really miniature) and one about 4 feet tall (semi miniature).

I’ll need some awesome lights to grow them indoor and I think I’ve found what I need. Whenever I get everything planned … Read the rest
