Sunflower is still growing. I might have to think of a new way to hang the light. Or maybe straight up and down so it’s along the side of the plant, wonder how that would do. Also, another thing I just finished.

This sunflower is growing insanely fast.

Just finished this for a project in class.

My new lens came in today, Sigma 24/2.8 Ultra-Wide II, although on an APS-C sensor it’s just wide :P

I immediately took it to my sunflower. The little guy is basically hugging the lamp it’s so tall, so I moved it up an inch, but I moved it up quite a bit for these pictures. The lens is also like a macro, considering I was VERY close to touching the plant when I was taking these.

So I wanted a new background and I’ve had this idea for a while, so I gave it a shot. An hour or so for the scene and two days for materials/lighting.

Here’s two versions, 1920×1080 and 1280×800

So I planted a new Sunflower a few days ago, and instead of planting the dwarf variety I planed the Mammoth (12ft) Sunflower. Considering the dwarfs were smaller than I thought they’d be, maybe the Mammoth growing inside will be a reasonable height. And on that note, it’s growing MUCH faster than the others. Since sprouting, over the course of two or three days it’s grown to about 5 inches. I had the light 5 inches above the pot and the plant is just a few moments away from touching it, so I raised it a little for this picture.

Here’s pictures.
